Hapless Wolves host Pacers at Target CenterBasketball Betting Lines01/08/2010 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - So much for that season high two-game winning streak for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who will try to put the brakes on a five-game slide tonight versus the Indiana Pacers at the Target Center. The Timberwolves have the worst record in the Western Conference at 7-29 and are coming off Wednesday's 107-101 loss versus the Golden State Warriors in the Twin Cities. Al Jefferson provided 26 points and 14 rebounds for Minnesota, which fell to 4-15 in Minneapolis this season. The Timberwolves have allowed 100 or more points in each game during the losing streak. "It was just one of those nights," said Wolves rookie Jonny Flynn, who had six points and four assists. "There's going to be nights like that where the shots just don't go in." Kevin Love ended with 23 points, 16 boards and six assists before leaving temporarily late in the fourth with a leg injury. He eventually came back and finished the game after bumping knees with Golden State forward Corey Maggette. Love is listed as probable for Friday's game. After hosting the Pacers, the T'Wolves will hit the road for four games against Chicago, Denver, Houston and Memphis. Indiana will hit the road for two games against Minnesota and Oklahoma City and has dropped seven in a row away from home this season. The Pacers, who are 3-14 as the guest this season, have won two of three games since an eight-game losing streak and are coming off Tuesday's improbable 97-90 triumph versus the Orlando Magic at Conseco Fieldhouse. Roy Hibbert scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Luther Head added 18 points and Dahntay Jones had 13 in the win. "The game prior to this was really, really horrible and bad," Hibbert said in reference to Sunday's 132-89 loss to New York. "So we had to come out, set the tone and get the (win). Sometimes it's amazing what the crowd can do for you, and they got us in the game tonight." Brandon Rush posted 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Pacers, who played without Troy Murphy (ankle), Tyler Hansbrough (ear infection) and Danny Granger (plantar fascia). Granger is out indefinitely and both Murphy and Hansbrough are listed as questionable for tonight. Indiana recently defeated Minnesota, 122-111, on January 2 in Indy and has won three of the last four games in the series. The Timberwolves, who are scoring at a 115.2 ppg clip in their past five matchups with the Pacers, sport a 4-2 ledger in the past six meetings in the Twin Cities.
