Lions extend QB HillFootball Betting Lines07/12/2010 - Allen Park, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Detroit Lions extended the contract of quarterback Shaun Hill through the 2011 season. Hill was acquired in a March trade with San Francisco. He spent his first four NFL seasons with Minnesota, then joined the 49ers as a free agent in 2006. After serving as the third quarterback his first season in San Francisco, Hill started 16 games and made two other appearances over the following three seasons. He threw for 3,490 yards with 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with the 49ers. In Detroit, he'll back up second-year man Matthew Stafford.

The Dallas Mavericks have the best record in the NBA (44-9) and have been absolutely scorching since the second week of the season. The addition of Chris Webber seems to have been a good move for the Pistons. Since coming over from the 76ers, Webber has averaged 13.1 PPG and 7.3 RPG and the Pistons are 11-4. Even though the defending champion Heat are currently on the playoff making cusp, they are the Eastern Conference team that is getting the most action to win it all (9-1). The fact that Shaquille O’Neal is back in the starting lineup after missing 39 games probably has something to do with this. No doubt, Shaq makes a difference when in the lineup as their winning six out of their last seven would indicate. Plaxico Burress is gone and with him all the bad publicity surrounding the gun in the sweatpants incident, but can they replace him in the offense? Last season the Giants were a very reliable bet going 12-4 ATS. In the Giants' last 20 games against fellow teams from the NFC East; they are 13-7 ATS. Dallas is listed at +240 to win the division. Dallas went 9-7 SU and 7-9 ATS last season and with the amount of talent the Cowboys have, a similar performance won't do. The Cowboys have been atrocious against divisional rivals, going 6-14 ATS in their last 20. The Washington Redskins are longshots to win the division at +550.
