Vince Carter added 17 points and J.J. Redick scored 15 off the bench for the
Magic, who bounced back from Friday's loss in New Orleans to win for the third
time in four games.
Dwight Howard, playing in foul trouble much of the game, finished with seven
points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Dwyane Wade returned from a four-game absence because of a left calf strain
and had a team-high 21 points, but the Heat lost their fourth consecutive
contest. Jermaine O'Neal and Rafer Alston added 16 and 15 points,
respectively.
Orlando held a 26-24 edge after one quarter and the game remained tight in the
second, as the Magic were up 52-48 at the break.
It continued to be close in the third until Orlando ended the quarter on a
nine-point run. Redick closed it with two free throws for a 76-64 advantage.
Alston hit a pair of threes to get the Heat within 88-80 with 2:08 left, but
Redick and Lewis responded with treys to stave off the comeback and
essentially seal the Magic victory.
Game Notes
Orlando made 25-of-30 foul shots, compared to 14-of-18 for Miami...The Heat
had 15 turnovers compared to eight for the Magic....Miami had won the previous
two meetings this season.
