Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Memphis Grizzlies rookie guard Greivis Vasquez underwent surgery on his right ankle Tuesday to remove a bone spur. Vasquez, who starred at the University of Maryland, had the procedure performed in Baltimore. He was injured while playing in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The 28th overall selection in June's draft, Vasquez averaged 19.6 points per game as a senior.
